Position: Full-time Machine Operator - Plastics Thermoforming

Location: Surrey - 19056 27 Ave

Rate: $17/h - $30/h (dependent on experience)

METHOD Innovation Partners Inc is a growing Designing, Engineering and Manufacturing company based in Surrey, producing custom products for clients across North America. Our 30 person team manufactures everything from one-off products for the entertainment industry to high volume products we’ve developed and created ourselves that we market to distribution channels and end users in a variety of industries.

We are actively seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Full time Machine Operator - Plastic Thermoforming. We are open to considering qualified candidates from across Canada for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate the assigned thermoforming machine(s) at the prescribed production rate
  • Load/unload product from machines
  • Start and stop thermoforming machines safely at the beginning and end of production following correct startup and shut down procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor machine/operation issues
  • Closely follow product and packaging spec’s and quality guidelines identifying production, safety and quality issues for correction and improvement
  • Assist tool room with tooling preparation and ensure that appropriate supplies are maintained at the machine as per work order
  • Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately in a timely manner
  • Follow the master cleaning schedule, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, maintaining proper housekeeping and 5S in work areas
  • Follow established safe working procedures and report all unsafe acts, hazards and/or accidents to the appropriate persons
  • Ability to lift loads of up to 25 kg
  • Other duties as may be required

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a machine operator (strong preference for plastics machining)
  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Ability to read and follow work orders to meet production requirements
  • Lift and move product / parts / boxes when require
  • Ability to read technical specifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
