Job Description

We have an opening for a full-time, experienced Journeyman Instrumentation Technician in our Calgary Office. Focusing on measurement solutions, the successful candidate will be responsible for life cycle servicing of Tundra’s comprehensive instrumentation product line; including installation, troubleshooting and customer support. This position will report to the Manager of Technical Services.

Duties amp; Responsibilities:

  • Provide field support for start-up, commissioning and maintenance of Tundra’s instrumentation product line
  • Demonstrate Tundra’s core purpose of being Always Available and provide Tundra’s clients with an exceptional support experience 24/7
  • Install, test, optimize, maintain and troubleshoot customers’ instrumentation equipment
  • Interpret PID, electrical drawings and specifications for instrumentation equipment and processes
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports as required

Requirements

  • Must have Journeyman Instrumentation Certificate and/or a minimum of 7 years industry-related work experience
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of oil and gas process applications
  • Must be flexible in their abilities and be able to support the entire Tundra instrumentation product line
  • Must be able to learn and absorb new information while also working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with analyzers is considered an asset
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and technical writing
  • Candidates will be expected to travel up to 70% of the time for field work and will be on-call (for phone support) one week out of the month
  • Alberta Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent in good standing is required successful candidates will need to supply a clean driver abstract
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
