Job Description

The Technical Development Support will be working alongside both Quality Assurance teams and development partners to create, maintain, and enhance automation scripts. In this role you will be able to provide technical insights and expertise to support comprehensive automated verification. This position works collaboratively with the development and QA teams. You will be working on a First Person Shooter video game based in Burnaby, BC.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience as development support
  • Shipped at least one full title from concept to final/live service
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute and report on tasks under tight deadlines
  • Experience coordinating amp; prioritizing tasks with partners from off-site studios
  • Experience with agile/scrum software development in a live environment
  • Experience identifying exploits amp; escalating concerns
  • Understands development planning toolsets (Jira, Hansoft) and code/asset integration software (Perforce)
  • Experience with automation frameworks
  • Has the ability to plan and communicate technical/automation requirements and potential ROI to stakeholders (has demonstrated in past)
  • Auditing skills (bugs, results, etc.)
  • Basic dashboard creation and maintenance proficiency with Power BI/Excel
  • QA experience under the following domains:
    • Live/deployment
    • Systems/integrations
    • Meta/game balance
    • Seasons/Progression/Battle Pass/Store
    • Maps/Living World
    • Modes/Events/Challenges
    • Characters/Weapons


Daily/weekly tasks

  • Work alongside a small team of Software Engineers
  • Updating and maintaining tools for quality engineering
  • Follow quality standards through code reviews and design approvals
  • Test automation scripts
  • Verify technical requirements for any tasks
  • Collaborate with the team, driving innovation, and quality testing
  • Build relationships with local and remote developers and stakeholders
