We have a full-time opportunity for a Territory Manager, Academic Institutions, Americas to join our Libraries team.

As a Territory Manager you will research, plan and implement new sales strategies while adopting an entrepreneurial attitude and an innovative approach. You have the necessary business intelligence to build scalable sales programs in order to grow your assigned territory. Your strong communication skills and high level of EQ help you understand the needs of your clients, and you enjoy nurturing trust-based relationships with both your clients and coworkers.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and pricing recommendations for your territory, based on your market knowledge
  • Build strong connections with industry leaders and influencers
  • Secure new business, actively prospect and explore new partnerships to achieve sales targets
  • Manage existing clients and nurture existing relationships
  • Analyze and re-engage lapsed clients and keep low churn
  • Develop and manage a team of in-market sales agents and channel partners
  • As an evangelist of PressReader, you will become an expert on all things that we offer, while staying up-to-date with the latest market trends

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Proven successful work experience as a sales manager at a national/international level (5+ years required)
  • 2+ years in educational or library market spaces
  • Creative mind with exceptional communication skills
  • Positive attitude and you are goal-driven
  • Solid negotiation skills and business acumen
  • A passion for meeting new people and building genuine and authentic relationships
  • Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of daily use of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to travel internationally as needed, once the pandemic subsides

This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. Working from home is available during the Covid pandemic.
