Our progressive approach to digital distribution has allowed publishers such as The Washington Post, The Guardian, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, The Globe and Mail, and Vogue to find new audiences through business partnerships, including airlines, hotels, cruise ships, libraries, and thousands of other companies worldwide.

Our technology also powers Branded Editions (BE) - a white-label solution that enables publishers to deliver their digital content in interactive ways. BE allows them to build a customizable platform that supports a wide range of revenue opportunities.

We have a full-time opportunity for a Manager,Branded Content Partnerships to join our Branded Editions team.

As part of the Branded Editions team, you will manage a variety of key publishing partner accounts and ensure customer satisfaction by being the exclusive contact person and by establishing a strong relationship built on trust and excellent service. You will own all aspects of their digital edition products. Purposely building a comprehensive and unique path to growth for each publishing partner, you will engage your creative and analytical skills to drive success for content providers in a number of key areas (including distribution, revenue, and evolving reader attraction amp; engagement).

This is a highly collaborative role with our partners and with multiple internal teams such as marketing and Development, that require strong interpersonal skills.

A progressive understanding of technology in relation to publishing, and a perceptive approach to consumer marketing as it relates to various types of content are both essential to be successful in this position.

In this role, you will:

  • Focus on forging new partnerships, expanding existing ones, and uncovering unique opportunities all aimed at keeping PressReader on the leading edge of consumer engagement and content delivery
  • Own relationships with a variety of key publishing partners, and manage all aspects of their digital edition products
  • Build a comprehensive and unique path to growth for each publishing partner
  • Engage creative and analytical skills to drive success for content providers including distribution, revenue, and evolving reader attraction and engagement
  • Develop a progressive understanding of technology in relation to publishing
  • Drive reader satisfaction and publisher growth
  • Collaborate with both external and internal partners, including coordinating communication with our accounting department

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Proven successful work experience as an account manager at a national/international level
  • Bachelor’s degree, or education leading to a degree in business, marketing or business communications
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a strong command of the English language
  • A passion for meeting new people and building genuine and authentic relationships
  • A positive attitude, resilience and a great sense of humor
  • A creative mind with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Solid negotiation skills and business acumen
  • An inquisitive approach and are eager to learn about technology, our product, our company, our industry and our partners
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • A passion for reading and you are a regular consumer of content. You have diverse tastes in magazines and newspapers, and can articulate what these publications mean to you. You ‘get’ the publisher mindset and why their content is relevant (or not) to their audience
  • Proficiency in a second language, especially Mandarin and/or Cantonese, or Malay

Bonus points if you:

  • Have professional experience in advertising or marketing in a multimedia environment
  • Have experience with platform such as Google Analytics, Firebase, iTunes Connect and Google Play Store
  • Have an understanding of basic financial reporting or accounting as it relates to invoicing and accounts collection
  • Have experience in project management (from start to finish)
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector
