Organizational Summary
The Pacific Salmon Foundation (PSF), founded in 1987, is a federally incorporated non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of wild Pacific salmon and their natural habitats in British Columbia and the Yukon. PSF’s mission is to be the independent, thoughtful leader and catalyst in conservation, restoration, and enhancement of Pacific salmon and their ecosystems through strategic partnerships and leveraged use of resources. Operating independently from government, the PSF facilitates dialogue and undertakes positive initiatives in support of Pacific salmon amongst all levels of government including First Nations, as well as industry, communities, individual volunteers, and all fishing interests. The PSF Development, Marketing, and Communications Department consists of seven staff and effectively employs the full range of traditional fundraising tactics but is only reaching a relatively small band of the already converted. As part of its strategic plan (2020-2023), PSF will invest in a branding review that will result in new fundraising and digital marketing campaigns that will position PSF with broader audiences of potential new supporters. The role of Manager, Digital Fundraising and Marketing will be a leading contributor to this change process and will be principally responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing new digital fundraising campaigns.
Position Overview
The Manager, Digital Fundraising and Marketing is responsible for managing and implementing digital campaigns for fundraising, donor engagement, new donor acquisition and donor retention in order to expand and diversify the base of support and increase the level of giving for the PSF. This position develops, manages, and implements digital fundraising initiatives including e-appeals, online advertising, social media, and mobile, as well as optimizing fundraising through the PSF's website.

Exercising Judgment/Impact of Decisions
The Manager, Digital Fundraising and Marketing will exercise independent judgment and take initiative while performing their duties. The Manager, Digital Fundraising and Marketing will be accountable for the effective execution of assigned duties, which is critical to the success of the PSF. The Manager, Digital Fundraising and Marketing interacts with varying levels of staff, consultants, and other stakeholders. Errors or lapses in judgment will adversely impact the reputation and efficiency of the PSF.
Reporting and Supervision
The Manager, Digital Fundraising and Marketing will serve as a member of the Development, Marketing, and Communications team, reporting to the Senior Manager responsible for annual, planned, and major gifts. This position will work across the Development, Marketing and Communications team to support and enhance all fundraising programs with digital strategy and implementation.
