Job Description

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking dynamic individuals experienced in software architecture and passionate about working with back-end technologies. Munvo Software Architects work closely with the client personnel responsible for enterprise architecture, infrastructure planning and deployment. Software Architects contribute to the productivity of various technical components, such as database, cloud, network, operating systems, security, performance tuning, load balancing, SOA and Big Data.


What you’ll do as a Software Architect

  • Collaborate with other team members and client stakeholders to gather architecture and system requirements
  • Perform environment architecture planning and sizing (on-premise and cloud-based)
  • Conduct installation and integration of solutions
  • Work on various technical components, such as database, cloud, network, operating systems, security, performance tuning, SOA, load balancing and Big Data
  • Implement measures to improve system performance and monitoring capabilities
  • Provide coaching to client IT personnel training

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software and Computer Engineering
  • The ability to work outside your comfort zone, knowing that you’ll be facing various client infrastructures with different levels of complexity
  • Technical knowledge of:
    • Databases (Oracle, DB2, Red Shift, SQL Server)
    • System infrastructure design
    • SOA architecture
    • Web Applications Servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss)
    • Operating systems (Unix and Linux in particular)
    • Scripting languages (JavaScript, Bash, Python, etc.)
    • Cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
  • Proficiency in English; other languages such as Spanish, French, German (an asset)
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to think critically, learn quickly and adapt to fast-paced work environments
  • Canadian or US citizen (required to obtain US work permit)
