We are looking for General Labourers to join the team located at 11760 Mitchell Road on Mitchell Island in Richmond, BC. Overview:
The General Labourer position is a permanent, full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Operations department Supervisors/Managers.
Job Summary:
The General Labourers are responsible for sorting through scrap metal or plastic according to grade and size by performing the following duties, as follows:
- Removal of metal/plastic from sorting table, hand truck, or conveyors
- Keeping work area clean
- May be assigned to operate or repair simple mechanical equipment
- Other duties or special projects as may be assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be flexible to work different shifts, for example (mornings, afternoons, graveyard)
- Must be able to work 8-10 hours a day, over time will be paid accordingly
- Must be able to work on weekends, overtime will be paid accordingly
- Must be able to comfortably wear all Personal Protective Equipment. (I.e. Uniforms, Safety glasses, Steel Toed Shoes, Hardhat, earplugs)

Benefits
Base pay starts at $18.90 per hour and will increased with experience and further training. See other benefits above.
