We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. This role is based out of our London plant, and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

The Quality Assurance Coordinator role is responsible for facilitating product certification agency visits, inspections and testing, improving and maintaining our gage calibration program, and coordinating document creation and review to ensure accuracy and relevance. This role will collaborate with the QA lab team, production team, tool room team, maintenance, as well as the certification agencies, technical services group, and other corporate groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate certification agency required activities
    • Meet with inspectors for onsite and virtual agency inspections
    • Collect and prepare any product samples requested for testing or delivery to the agency locations for verification
    • Schedule and perform witness testing for agency representatives
    • Organize and track each agency sample and test requirements status to ensure expectations are met in an efficient manner
    • Work with lab, and technical services personnel
  • Facilitate the gage calibration program
    • Coordinate in house gage verification on the corporate schedule
    • Organize the shipment, and return of gages requiring third party calibration services
    • Facilitate onsite third party calibration services
    • Maintain the gage calibration database
    • Maintain and create gage use instructions, and how to calibrate instructions
    • Organize calibration certificates for ease of retrieval when requested by certification agencies, internal and external auditors
    • New gage, fixture, and equipment development, and replacement
    • Gage R amp; R studies
  • Administer document control system activities
    • Generate, review, and update several different document requirements (pack instructions, inspection reports, test methods)
    • File and organize production data, suggestion program details, material sheets
    • Data mining inspection results, and developing more efficient methods for data collection and analysis
  • Perform capability studies, process control activities, and develop a robust system for these initiatives
  • ISO 9001-2015 internal auditor
  • Special projects, developmental testing, and assisting with corrective action facilitation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Education amp; Certificates · Quality Assurance Certificates (Quality Engineering Certificate preferred) · Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering would be an asset Technical Skills amp; Experience · Experience with gage calibration programs and activities · Experience interacting with certification agencies · Knowledge of Process Capability and Statistical Process Control concepts and practices · Knowledge of and experience with problem solving techniques · Proficiency of MS Office, including Excel · Mechanical aptitude, and the ability to trouble shoot testing fixtures and test set ups.
