We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Article's in-house financial software solutions.
Responsibilities and daily tasks include:
- Designing and building software solutions while adhering to good engineering practices.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and spec-ing out detailed software solutions
- Continual analysis of existing software architecture and continual improvement
- Collaborating with other team members to find bottlenecks and resolve blocking issues
- Conducting code reviews
- Ownership of the uptime of all software services
- Implementing automated tests and monitoring of services
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent practical experience
- We are primarily a Java shop, so excellent command over Java software language is a must
- Excellent problem-solving and solutioning skills
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS database in particular MySQL
- Experience with event streaming and Apache Kafka
- Experience building software on the AWS platform
- Relentless in the pursuit of remarkably better solutions.

- Experience with large scale systems
- Experience building Microservices
- Experience with accounting and financial concepts
- Experience with Netsuite
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with Agile software Delivery
