Location: 2659 Auburn Rd, West Kelowna, BC V1Z 3H7
Shift Rotation: 07:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, some weekends may be required
What you will be doing:
- Reading diagrams and schematics for work procedures
- Troubleshooting Electrical, Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Operating hoist and lift devices to position machinery in a safe manner
- Inspect, examine, lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance work
- Confer on a regular basis with Manager on any operational deficiencies
- Maintain and repair On Road Heavy Equipment to Provincial and BURNCO Standards
- Service calls and field repairs as needed
What we would like from you:
- Journeyman Provincial Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Journeyman Provincial Mechanics License
- Experience working on Detroit Diesel, Mercedes and Cummins
- Class 5 license with clean Drivers Abstract, Class 1 or 3 Driver's License will be considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years of directly related experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with effective interpersonal skills
- Proficiency using diagnostic software
- Experienced with Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic system repairs and maintenance
- Physically fit with the ability to work in conditions which may include varying weather and temperatures, heavy lifting (50 lbs / 23 kgs)
IMPORTANT: As this is a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates selected for hire must successfully pass pre-employment testing including a drug and alcohol screen (Cannabis included), and fitness to work testing.

BURNCO’s wants to assist employees in preparing for life after working. Through our group retirement plan RRSP Plan employee’s contribute is up to 6% of base salary and the Company provides an equal match to the 6% contribution.
