What You Will Be Doing
Location: Burnaby, British Columbia
- Operates Forklift, Bobcat, lawn mower, weed eater, Loader
- Shovels under belt throughout the day to ensure free of debris
- Cleans areas inside and outside around plant ensuring yard is clear of hazards
- Reports maintenance issues to plant foreman
- Executes work safely at all times by complying with company safety protocols
- Assist in completing tasks following site inspections
Reality of the Job
- You might work long hours during peak times
- This is physical work
- Be subject to working conditions in and out of the plant which will include varying weather and temperatures, heavy lifting over (23+ kgs or 50+ lbs)
- You might work Saturday's during peak season
- There may be less hours available in our non peak times
Requirements
What We Would Like From You
- Must be at least 18+ years old
- Ability to work irregular hours and on Saturdays
- Ability to work from other BURNCO plants based on business needs
- Commitment to safety, customer service and teamwork
- Good people skills and ability to follow directions
- Desire and ability to learn
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Ability to perform well both independently and in a TEAM environment
- Good communication and comprehension skills as well as legible handwriting
It would be nice if you had, but we will still like you even if you don't:
- Forklift, Bobcat and / or Loader experience
- Understanding of concrete products
IMPORTANT: As this is a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates selected for hire must successfully pass pre-employment background checks that may include a criminal background check, drug and alcohol testing (Cannabis included), and physical assessment testing.
