The Connected Services team is responsible for many modules and applications within the ecosystem of Genetec products. As part of those modules you can find the unified update service for Genetec products and the health monitoring and availability platform for systems and infrastructure. They are also responsible for different services revolving around data collection over a cloud ingestion pipeline related to the Genetec Improvement Program.

The team leverages cutting edge technology to create hybrid solutions running on customer premise and on the Microsoft Azure cloud.

The position is code intensive and specializes in software development of tests using mainly C#. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, joining a team of talented and enthusiastic engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Consults with the team leader and tech leader for high level direction and objectives
• Participate actively in the different phases of project development (Analysis, Development, Documentation, Tests, Release)
  • Be autonomous in the analysis, development and tests of complex tasks
  • Design and develop key automated functional tests
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of well-designed, accessible, easy-to-use and intuitive solutions
  • Participate in the architecture and design of the different phases using Agile methods
  • Follow best practices for automated functional test maintainability
  • Follow and apply the team’s processes and activities revolving around task management and acceptance criteria
  • Raise any potential problems or risks as soon as they are detected.

• Must be functional in French and English

• Faire appel au chef d’équipe et responsable technique pour obtenir des directives et des objectifs émanant d’un haut niveau
• Participer activement dans l’analyse, la conception et les différentes phases du développement des différents projets
  • Être autonome dans l’analyse, le code et les tests des tâches complexes
  • Concevoir et développer des tests fonctionnels automatisés clés
  • Travailler de concert avec des équipes interfonctionnelles afin d’assurer la livraison de solutions bien conçues, accessibles, intuitives et faciles à utiliser
