Job Description

An Associate Technical Consultant aids in implementing technical changes to either our internal, or a customer ServiceNow instance under the guidance of an experienced technical lead.

  • Assist in basic configuration of the ServiceNow platform. Completed specific project tasks as assigned by a technical lead or manager
  • Understand technical requirements around the changes to the ServiceNow tool functionality as well as new functionality to be deployed
  • Configure new applications and modules under the direction of technical lead
  • Research and understand the ServiceNow best practices for the platform applications
  • Produce basic documentation on all work completed
  • Provide daily support of ServiceNow including incident and demand management administration
  • Create and maintain user roles and user account access in ServiceNow
  • Comply with systems development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules
  • Develop and manage the preparation of systems and/or program specifications, test criteria and project control for new functionality, enhancements or error correction for ServiceNow
  • Develop and coordinate the installation of upgrades and/or service packs, testing of such upgrades and general maintenance of ServiceNow
  • Collaborate with Service Managers to determine ServiceNow customer objectives
  • Research systems and/or programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of ServiceNow workflows and JavaScript
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements throughout the development lifecycle
  • Ability to work directly with internal and external customers to gather requirements, propose solutions, and demonstrate existing or new functionality
  • Willingness to collaborate with development team members while creating and building solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, relational databases, and basic networking
  • Demonstrate technical understanding of ITIL methodologies within the ServiceNow platform and applying that to the business requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
