As ATB’s next Personal Banking Specialist, your purpose is to build relationships with new and existing customers by having conversations to fully understand their needs, and connecting them with the right solutions to help them reach their goals. You elevate the customer experience by introducing them to partners, and educating them on our mobile and online resources.


Personal Banking Specialist Accountabilities:

  • You meet with customers to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan.
  • You take time to ensure clients understand their accounts, products, and other information you have provided in relation to their situation.
  • You provide the customer with access to self service options, set them up on digital platforms whenever possible, and serve them through the channel of their choice.
  • You keep your commitments with customers, and set clear priorities and realistic timeframes that are consistent with work requirements.
  • You understand annual business targets and metrics for the branch, Everyday Financial Services (EFS) amp; ATB.
  • You assist in the daily operation, administration and team activities of the branch.
  • You are an expert in the features and benefits of ATB products and solutions, and may have land-secured lending capability.

  • You are a fluent communicator who can simplify messaging, and adapt communication style and methods to best suit your audience (verbal, written amp; digital).
  • You are a team player, who demonstrates flexibility, cooperation and a demonstrated willingness to support your fellow team members.
  • You understand the importance of attention to detail and follow through, and maintain a high level of both at all times.
  • You are committed to self-improvement.
  • You have expert knowledge of banking practices and regulations.

Accreditation:

  • Post Secondary degree/diploma in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 1 - 4 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of customer service experience
  • Land-secured lending experience is a strong asset for this role.
