The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Accountant, Account Receivables to join our Finance Team.
Reporting to the Manager, Commissions, the Accountant (AR) is responsible for assisting in the preparation and submission of reports required for commodity taxes (GST/HST and provincial sales taxes) as well as the monthly accounts receivable billing and reconciliations.

What your day looks like:
- Preparation and submission of reports required for commodity taxes
- Maintain Accounts Receivable billing process and reconciliations
- Assist in monthly variance analysis commentary, project related work to align different accounting practices and assist with efficiency improvement projects
- Develop and redesign new accounts payable templates for new cost allocation structure
- Assist in creating efficiencies within the accounting team
- Analyze trending details and explain variance for month end reporting
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Post-secondary education in business or commerce, major in Accounting preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience within a similar position
- Accounting designation is not required, however completion of CPA or working towards a CPA designation is an asset
- Superior computer skills; ACCPAC, Excel
- Strong ability to persist in gathering needed information from various stakeholders and do full cycle projects
- Detail oriented, analytical, and strong organizational skills
- Customer service oriented to respond quickly and effectively to non-routine enquiries
- Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
