The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Manager, Product Strategy to join the Online Brokerage amp; Digital Wealth team.

Reporting to the Director of Product amp; Platform Strategy, the Manager, Product Strategy will focus on providing analytics support to inform portfolio management and product strategy to help grow the business. They will be accountable for creating product performance dashboards, detailed competitive intelligence, reporting on industry trends and using this information to provide insightful analysis and recommendations.

What your day looks like:

  • Conduct ongoing industry and competitive analysis to obtain market insights and deepen team's functional expertise
  • Support the ongoing management of all aspects of product portfolio management, including trades, assets, share analysis, research, metrics reporting and competitive positioning
  • Analyze and evaluate new and existing products in terms of profitability, relevance and competitive differentiation aligned to business strategy
  • Support the project intake process to manage, report and assess new initiative requests to ensure alignment to business strategy
  • Oversee and manage vendor expenses and invoice processing to ensure alignment to budgets
  • Execute the development and implementation of new products as well as enhancements
  • Stay up to date on changes to regulations to ensure that the departments procedures evolve accordingly

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Canadian Securities Course and additional industry certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of industry experience (overall)
  • 4-6 years in product development and management experience
  • 3-5 years of financial services experience in product, technology, business architecture, and related fields
  • Demonstrated experience with market evaluations, financial analysis and business case development
  • Experience working in an agile environment with technology teams
  • Critical thinking skills are a must to uncover opportunities and go beyond the surface of issues
  • Organizational skills Ability to effectively multi-task and manage competing high priority initiatives, with flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing requirements
  • Interpersonal skills Track record of building strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills
