The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Senior Onboarding Officer to join our Service, Operations and Compliance team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partner Support, the Senior Onboarding Officer is responsible for overseeing the Onboarding team on all MFDA and IIROC onboardings for Advisors, providing guidance, support, and education to the Onboarding team to ensure a successful onboarding process and is the main contact person for all planning aspects with the Recruitment, Credit Union and New Advisor teams.

What your day looks like:

  • Manage the Onboarding team on all MFDA and IIROC onboardings and work with the Recruitment team in the planning of each onboarding
  • Lead and document all onboarding planning with the Credit Union to ensure a successful onboarding experience
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert and contact for the Credit Union executive leadership group
  • Partner internally with other areas of Operations and Service Center to ensure that onboarding is done in a timely manner and that issues are resolved quickly
  • Lead large Credit Union Mergers, liaising with the Wealth Manager Project Manager, and internal Aviso experts to ensure the onboarding is efficiently managed, reporting back to the Advisor/Credit Union team
  • Oversee Advisor Offboarding and Credit Union contact management

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) preferred
  • 5+ years of leading Advisor onboarding in financial services
  • Previous experience leading an onboarding team
  • Operations or Service Center experience in a Financial firm
  • Experience with Dataphile
  • Ability to support partners at an executive level
  • Previous experience with process improvement and documentation
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
