The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Director, ESG Insights, to join our ESG Services team in support of NEI’s Sales team and their stakeholders.

Reporting to the Vice President, ESG Services, the Director, ESG Insights, will form a critical conduit between the ESG Services team the NEI Sales team, working closely with both retail and institutional sales team members to help advisors and institutional clients understand the importance of RI as a business opportunity, and the value-added work of NEI’s ESG Services team.

What your day looks like:

  • You are an acknowledged expert in understanding and communicating the application and benefits of ESG investing and possess deep subject matter expertise in responsible investing in general and in particular the activities and value of NEI’s ESG Services program.
  • You are a superb communicator who will partner with Sales to attend advisor meetings, do presentations, seminars and webinars for our credit unions, institutional and intermediary partners, delivering differentiated insights on the topic of responsible investing.
  • You will directly support wholesalers who identify advisor business opportunities associated with RI
  • You will answer questions from advisors on ESG matters and help inspire the growth of RI in their businesses.
  • You will proactively work to stay on top of changes and trends in RI and the related activities of NEI’s ESG Services team through dedicated research and by being an active member of the ESG Services team.

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Finance, Business, Sustainability, Communications, Sales or a combination of these and related fields
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have an MBA, Masters of Sustainability and/or SASB Certification
  • 8+ years’ experience in the investment advice business within a Sales role or a role directly supporting Sales
  • Superior skills in relationship building, analysis, research, and presenting complex ideas in a compelling and impactful way
  • Highly organized and able to maintain multiple relationships both internally and externally
  • The ability to self-start and support key initiatives tied directly to the organization’s core value proposition
  • Experience in an organization that offers RI solutions an asset
  • Fluent communication skills, both written and verbal, in both English and French are required
