The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Director, Practice Management to join the Asset Management team.

Reporting to the VP, Co-Head National Sales, the Director, Practice Management is accountable for supporting sales efforts of the CU Wealth distribution team. The role will oversee the continued development and strategic delivery of the Private Wealth Program and the Insight Selling Program. This position will also ensure full strategic support on sales within NEI amp; Fee Based Solutions in keeping with Company goals and objectives. This role will be working with Credit Unions and wealth books of varying sizes to spot opportunities for improvement and growth. The role will focus on developing content, programs and coaching alongside sales directors in all regions.

The role will incorporate best practices on building fee-based member solutions through OnPoint, proprietary managed products and NEI solutions, with an emphasis on responsible investing. This individual will be working jointly with the CU Wealth distribution teams and will provide direct assistance to Credit Unions and Advisors to increase their penetration of these products through training, workshops, joint field work and personal meetings. The position requires working with MFDA and IIROC licensed advisors within CU Wealth across Canada.

What your day looks like:

  • To learn and utilize a portfolio construction process developed internally to focus on reducing the number of positions, increase revenue and create efficiencies in advisors’ books
  • Incorporate best practices in this portfolio construction process through use of fee-based accounts and managed solutions
  • Train and coach top MFDA and IIROC advisors along with the internal distribution team on the program and its modules, including on-going follow up
  • Deliver and develop training programs to the sales team and individual advisors to help support the on-going engagement of best practices and advisor’s business refinements
  • Oversee all content, processes, reporting and communications surrounding practice management efforts within CU Wealth
  • Supports Advisors by demonstrating an understanding of their business, industry best practices and a through knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Use internal reporting as a tool to coach advisors on their household segmentation, revenues, position count and overall book composition
  • Assist advisors with developing value propositions, service delivery models and personal growth plans and strategies
