The Company

The company also expanded its product offering of ready-to-cook meals, introduced breakfast and ready-to-eat meal solutions and recently launched its private label grocery products, allowing Goodfood to enhance the members’ experience via a more comprehensive product offering, therefore significantly broadening the Company’s addressable market. Background
Jonathan Ferrari and Neil Cuggy co-founded Goodfood in 2014 with the goal of changing the way Canadians cook in mind. Passionate about both food and technology from a young age, the founders took advantage of their finance backgrounds to challenge the current status quo existing in the food industry.
Born out of a goal to get more people to prepare delicious and healthy meals at home, today, Goodfood is a team of passionate individuals planning, preparing, and delivering delicious meals weekly across Canada.
The Mandate
Reporting to the General Manager, you will:
- Create amp; implement comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, adjust and safely maintain industrial mechanical, electronic and pneumatic systems and equipment
- Drive activities to reduce cost of maintenance and overtime costs while meeting quality amp; safety objectives
- Perform other duties related to the operation and maintenance of the service or building
- Lead and/or provide support for process design, development, and improvement activities
- Instruct and train automation personnel on new or revised manufacturing methods and equipment
- Report any situation that he / she considers dangerous for evaluation and any ideas relevant to the improvement of health and safety at work
- Performing Ergonomic assessments and recommend/complete actions to reduce risk levels
- Track KPIs, such as unscheduled machine downtime, maintenance costs, preventative maintenance effectiveness
- Build and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for the Maintenance function
- Work closely with external vendors on machine maintenance, spare parts, repair work and other required services
The Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 5 years working as a Maintenance Specialist in a large warehouse with numerous machinery (industrial mechanical, electronic and pneumatic systems and equipment)
- Electrical, mechanical, and maintenance-related certifications
- Knowledge of trades related to site facilities, repair and overhaul
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance processes, procedures, and systems
- Ability to work with vendors and internal partners, displaying strong communication and negotiation skills
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (0 to 4 degrees).
- Proficiency working with Google Sheets / Google Docs
- Experience in food manufacturing is an asset
