ABOUT THE TEAM
Centro's technical writing team specializes in simplifying complicated ideas or procedures, helping users move from confusion to understanding and self-sufficiency. We work on projects aimed at external clients as well as Centro employees, and our audiences cover a wide range of technical backgrounds and experience levels. We consider product documentation to be part of the core product. Our day-to-day work is anchored in clear writing, user empathy, curiosity, and teamwork.WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTEAs the Manager of Technical Writing, you will be responsible for leading a team of Technical Writers as well as owning the technical writing process for all Centro products for both internal and external audiences. Other ways you’ll contribute are by:WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE- 3 years or more managing a team, with a record of leading and motivating team members
- 5 years’ experience or more working in a software company in a technical writing role, working collaboratively with technical writers, product management, engineering, support teams, and customers
- Experience using Madcap Flare
- Experience working with Confluence and JIRA is a must
- A commitment to (and enjoyment of) problem solving
- Demonstratable superior communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Ability to understand and communicate to different audiences
