About Wealthsimple for Work
Wealthsimple for Work (W4W) is a modern group retirement offering for employers and their employees. With W4W, employers can easily offer employees regular contributions to their retirement savings through a Group RRSP plan, and employees can add to this plan through Wealthsimple’s award winning app. Most group retirement plans are costly and have lacklustre engagement. W4W is on a mission to change this with a low-cost, no-effort offering that employees actually love to use.
We are a newly formed small team tasked with bringing a new product to market through the workplace you should be comfortable with ambiguity, a fast-paced environment, and wearing many different hats.In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Engage in new client relationships by developing target customers at the C-suite, VP and Director level at mid-size companies all over Canada
  • Work cross-functionally to guide market positioning and to provide feedback for product development
  • Build a pipeline of prospective customers
  • Run an effective, disciplined sales process while also helping to define the sales playbook for the broader team
  • Be creative! We’re figuring this out and looking for people who are excited to try new things to help us take the business to the next level
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Persistence you should have demonstrated track record of persevering in the face of adversity. This is a role that will involve selling an early-stage product which means that you will hear the word no a lot.
  • Proactiveness we are a small team and there won’t be anybody to tell you what to do. You should have a demonstrated history of working independently and driving your own work in the face of ambiguity
  • Results-oriented you should have experience (and be excited about!) managing your own pipeline in the face of uncertainty to ensure you hit your metrics
  • Deal closing you should know how to get to the executive decision maker, align the sale to a business goal, manage a negotiation, etc
  • Communication you should be a concise and articulate communicator, both verbal and written
  • At least 2 years experience as an outside sales person (preferably B2B)
