The Campaign Specialist collaborates with Business Analysts, Strategy, Relationship Marketing and Analytics teams to define marketing campaign requirements, supports the design, then implements, deploys and monitors various marketing campaigns for our clients. Success is measured by accurate implementation of campaign solutions based on business requirements and regular monitoring for optimization. The role may have some client-facing responsibilities including presentations and participating in group discussions.
The successful incumbent will become an enthusiastic subject matter expert on a number of marketing automation platforms and an advocate for campaign and data management within the organization. The Campaign Specialist is part of the Technology team, reporting to the Director, Campaign Enablement amp; Optimization and will operate as their trusted advisor for campaigns on portfolios they support.Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Team members in this role are expected to be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities to a consistently high standard:
  • Own and act as the subject matter expert for the campaign portfolio assigned
  • Proactively identify opportunities for optimization
  • Experience and understanding of 3rd party marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ExactTarget, Oracle Eloqua, Marketo and/or Adobe Campaign).
  • Support the Business Analyst and Relationship Marketing teams to develop business requirements for marketing campaigns including, but not limited to, campaign segmentation, campaign decision trees, test and control segments, list generation, deployment criteria and data management
  • Always with the customer/end user in mind, design, implement and deploy campaigns, leveraging either Klick’s platforms or client mandated platforms and processes
  • Perform data extracts from various CRM platforms based on analytics requirements to be used for target list deployments, campaign performance evaluation or reporting and partner with Analytics as needed
  • Evaluate campaign performance by monitoring and analyzing campaign data to improve deliverability, optimize campaigns and ensure both data quality and accuracy
  • Research and explore new campaign processes, marketing technologies, automation tool features to increase efficiencies, improve quality control, and to align to industry trends and best practices
  • Adhere to industry regulations, standards and best practices regarding privacy, commercial communications, data security and deliverability and escalate to management when guidelines are not being followed
  • Understand the Klick SDLC in detail, and ensure it is consistently followed. Exercise good judgement when recommending deviations from the SDLC’s best practices
Required Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor of Arts/Marketing or 1-3 years of demonstrated related Marketing experience
  • Campaign or data operations experience in CRM, direct marketing, loyalty program management, list generation, data analytics, solution design, email deployment, campaign management/testing or reporting
  • Experience extracting and analyzing campaign reporting data and using this to share recommendations with internal teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail for both campaign design and deployment
  • Awareness of CAN-SPAM, CASL, and other regulatory standards related to marketing communication
  • Time Management skills; effectively organize and prioritize, meeting all deadlines and delivering required results
  • Experience creating relevant campaign documentation
  • Experience investigating campaign issues and reporting/escalating to senior teams
  • Basic to intermediate experience using SQL to produce data extracts
  • Awareness of email deliverability and email marketing best practices
  • Basic knowledge of DNS, MX and IP setup processes
  • Basic knowledge of HTML
Beneficial but not required
  • The following skills and capabilities may be beneficial on some projects, but are not a core requirement of the role:

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Omniture, or other web reporting tools
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g. Pharma, Financial, Insurance, etc.)
