The Cloud Solutions Administrator will be responsible for creating and maintaining mission-critical production systems in a high-reliability environment.Responsibilities:
- Manage, strengthen, grow and support our infrastructure on Amazon Web Services
- Redesign existing build procedures to reduce complexity using automation tools (scripting/cloud formation/terraform)
- Take part in the planning and implementation of new systems projects (client facing as well as internal clients developers, TDs, VPs)
- Perform standard administration tasks, patching, monitoring, network security
- Carry a pager and respond to alerts in a timely fashion, ensuring proper communication with Klick's clients (on-call rotation)
- Troubleshoot difficulties with production environments and work with application developers to achieve resolution
Desired Skills Experience:
- Please note that there is a criminal background verification required for this role
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development or systems administration
- Able to provision, monitor and scale cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure (VPC amp; Serverless)
- Able to design and configure virtual network topologies, especially in AWS VPC
- Familiar with infrastructure as code
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SSL, domains
- Good knowledge of open source technologies: Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and scripting.
We require that you will be able to script in a common language (ie: PowerShell, Python, bash etc.)
- Some experience with configuration management (automation management of server configuration.
- Strong troubleshooting / debugging skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented fashion without losing sight of the overall picture
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-reliability environment with professionalism
Bonus Points:
- Certified in AWS or Azure
- Previous experience with CloudFormation/Terraform
- Experience with Deployment Pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps etc.)
- Strong Scripting Skills
