The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a General Labourer for a project in Dawson Creek. Reporting to the site foreman, the successful candidate will perform complex tasks in a physically demanding role. In addition, the candidate will:
- Assist welders
- Operate small equipment
- Assist in some administrative functions
- Work in various outdoor and indoor conditions in a fast-paced environment
- Set up hydro testing
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12/GED
- 2+ years general labourer experience is preferred
- Be local to Dawson Creek, or surrounding areas
- Have experience safely operating power tools such as drills, saws, power threader, grinder, etc.
- Previous experience completing Field Level Hazard Assessments
- Outstanding knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting/handling procedures
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs, be physically fit, work at heights, be agile and able to go up/down ladders
- Excellent communication/verbal amp; listening skills
- Ability to follow directions and have high attention to detail
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proven safety attitude and excellent attendance history
MUST POSSESS CURRENT/VALID:
- ESC H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid - Level C ( 2 day course)
- CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020
- Current - 5 Year Drivers’ Abstract, Valid licence
- Provide a Clean/Negative Damp;A Test
- ESC Common Safety Orientation
