We have exciting upcoming opportunities for Senior Hexagon SDx Administrators. As the subject matter expert (SME), you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and management of Hexagon SDx (Projects and/or Operations) environment supporting project and operational requirements.

This role can be remote from within Canada or the USA.

You will work closely with the client capital projects and operations teams to implement and support the Hexagon SDx Projects and/or Operations solution. In addition, you may also be required to liaise with external engineering contractors, vendors, and the technology provider (Hexagon).

• Install product software (including version updates, hotfixes, ).
• Manage system access user groups, user profiles, access permissions.
• Provide day to day end user support for SDx
• Configuration and/or Programming of SDx and SmartPlant Markup
• Configuration of templates, reports, Dashboards
• Configuration of Tag / Document metadata extraction rules to be used for SDx content extraction
• Configuration of Data validation rules for content loading templates
• Creation and upkeep of Data Capture (Fusion) tasks
• Configuration and mapping to various external applications (SAP Connector, J5, SPI, etc.)
• Make changes to SDx configuration to add new functionality e.g. add new forms, attributes, commodity codes etc.
• Fix problems and add new enhancements in SDx
• Trouble shoot Database and Citrix related issues
• Trouble shoot on SDx and SmartPlant Markup installation issues
• Maintain SPM configuration files for Native file viewing
• Provide support of Search/View/Print of SDx document and data through SmartPlant Markup
• Maintain integrity amp; quality of data in SDx environment
• IT key contact for SPF related servers
• Support internal and Major projects with Tag / Document data loading and templates
• Troubleshoot and resolve data load file errors
• Develop SDx documentation and procedures (user manuals, administrator manuals, design tool instructions, and work process procedures).
• Provide end user support and training.

Requirements

To be qualified for this role, you have a Computer Science degree or an engineering-related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working with engineering-related software and/or engineering IT technologies for an oil and gas owner operator or EPC. Additionally, you must have:

• Hands on working experience using SDx Projects and/or Operations within an Owner Operator or EPC environment.
• Preference given to candidates that have taken the SDx Operations - Data Capture Content Administrators Certification Training.
• 7 to 10+ years working experience with related Hexagon products such as; SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) and/or SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) as an administrator.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at multiple levels engineers, functional leads, and senior management.
• Analytical, diagnostic, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document methods, workflows and training materials and ability to effectively deliver training and support to a variety of users.
• Working knowledge and experience with relational database storage systems such as Oracle and SQL.
• Working knowledge and experience with program languages such as Visual Basic and C#.
• Ability to analyze operational requirements, assess data and business work processes.
• Ability to plan, implement, test, document and troubleshoot system software.
• Engineering business processes, data and document management experience would be desirable.
