Project Manager - Digital Fabrication Facade (Internal Applicants Only)

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager - Digital Fabrication Façade who will lead a team of AEC Integration Specialists, through virtual construction projects from bid/proposal stage to delivery of final deliverables. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing customer projects, internal knowledge-sharing and mentoring their team. Requirements

The Project Manager - Digital Fabrication Façade will be primarily responsible for:

• Defining Project Plans project scope, schedule and deliverables including customer needs and expectations.
• Organizing people and activities, such as project team, general overall tasks, project objectives, Internal and external kickoff meetings.
• Managing their own core team, ensuring they are performing as required and that they are developing their own skills.
• Interviewing new candidates for Project Lead, AECIS and Drafter/Detailer roles.
• Delegating overall tasks to the Project Lead and/or team as required.
• Controlling quality of models, deliverables, and following schedules.
• Managing up (External) regular meetings with customers to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations. Tracking down inputs required for CadMakers’ work.
• Managing up (Internal) - communicating with senior management on project statuses, team performance/needs. For example, if additional services are being asked for by customers, discuss on how to approach customers to manage contract and/or manage customers expectations. Fill in monthly project progress status.
• Invoicing working with accounting team to ensure proper invoicing to customers.
• Process Improvements recognizing potential improvements and escalating it to program managers.

• Document and distribute meeting minutes to internal and external stakeholders

• Provide inputs for Contract Management
• Assist with creating proposals (writing scope, estimating, proposing outputs, suggesting integration of cmBuilder where appropriate)

• Keen awareness of individual teammates attitudes and needs for project related task amp; their growth

Technical

• Construction, 3DExperience, cmBuilder and performing fabrication façade studies
• Strong scheduling and resource management skills
• Continue to learn the design and fabrication process for façade fabrication projects
• Apply lessons learned approach to each project as an opportunity to learn

Business Development Sales

• Provide input to senior management when estimating hours for proposals
• Help sales to describe possible scope of work for proposals

Marketing

• Develop customer relationships
• Take initiative in every opportunity to demonstrate our value to the customer (site superintendent to developer)

Minimum Requirements amp; Qualifications:

• Six months experience working on fabrication projects (ideally façade)
• Proven interest in furthering management/leadership knowledge
• Working knowledge of façade systems and fabrication projects workflow
