Performs all housekeeping duties in cleaning and servicing of the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre facility under the supervision of the Housekeeping Coordinator (HC) or designate.
Your impact at CNIBMaintain regular cleaning schedule throughout all buildings as determined by Housekeeping Supervisor, including:
- Sweeping and washing floors;
- Wiping down light switches and door handles; cleaning windows on doors as needed;
- Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms including floors, toilets, stalls, sinks, mirrors, vanity lights, and restocking toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer as required daily;
- Emptying garbage and recycling receptacles daily;
- Washing, drying, folding and storing all linens;
Requirements
We want to hear from you if you have:- Valid driver G license and maintain a suitable driving record validated by drivers abstract and/or access to transportation
- Current police check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
- Must be flexible in order to accommodate changing priorities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as scheduled by supervisor
- Minimum 2-3 years housekeeping/maintenance related experience
- Ability to lift heavy objects in excess of 30 lbs.
- Current WHMIS training an asset (6 months or less)
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
