Job Description

Full-time, Ontario (Eastern ON preferred)

Reporting to the Campaign Director, the Campaign Associate, CNIB Guide Dogs Campaign, is a member of the CNIB Guide Dogs philanthropy team. We are looking for someone who thrives in detailed oriented rigor and is responsible for supporting the day to day operations and implementation of processes and procedures, with a strategic approach and framework under CNIB's Guide Dogs Campaign Plan. Internally, the Campaign Associate/Strategic Lead oversees fundraising administrative and strategic operations, maintaining quality standards and strategic direction to ensure compliance with CNIB Philanthropy best practices and the CNIB Guide Dogs program.

Externally, this position will be called on to assist with the progress of the CNIB Guide Dogs Campaign with a range of duties as required, including supporting stakeholder relation activities and public awareness efforts. This is in line with CNIB's commitment to changing what it is to be blind today for individuals who would like to become or maintain their independent travel using a guide dog.

Your impact at CNIB
  • Responsible for supporting and implementing the fundraising planning processes of CNIB Guide Dogs Campaign, taking multiple variables into account
  • Support Campaign Director in the monitoring and recording of Campaign philanthropy progress.
  • Devise and continually improve high-quality internal and external information relating to CNIB Guide Dogs for the benefit of CNIB's donors, stakeholders, volunteers, staff and clients, as it pertains to the Campaign.
  • As required, assist in the research, development and writing of donor facing fundraising documents: proposals, stewardship materials, and other documents.
  • facilitate the preparation and compilation of statistical and information reports on CNIB GD programs and services
  • Ensures key messages are delivered consistently and effectively to all audiences through various communication platforms

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you have:
  • College or University diploma/degree in Fundraising, Business, Administration or social services.
  • Minimum four years' experience in either fundraising Campaign or managerial support role with experience in philanthropy program development
  • Like area discipline training and/or experience in CNIB services
  • Knowledge and experience in budget preparation
  • Knowledge and experience in managing the operations of a region, or program
  • Proficient in fundraising data base (Raisers Edge/Sales Force/equivalent)
  • Knowledge and experience in working in not for profit
  • Previous campaign experience an asset
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
