What you’ll do to be successful in this role

Deliver Great Results You will distribute weekly work orders and review daily production to ensure targets are being met. When issues arise, you will address and resolve production shortages and overages in collaboration with the team leaders.

Build a Winning Team By providing on-going feedback of their performance, encouraging continuous improvement, and ensuring company policies are followed, you will supervise the warehouse staff through the team leaders and direct day-to-day interaction to maintain a high level of productivity in all areas. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance, developing standards and metrics.

KPI’s amp; Reporting You will be responsible for delivering on the required Key Performance Indicators and prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports to summarize production activity.

Production Planning Working with the Master Production Schedule, you will review, modify, document and communicate changes to ensure targets are obtainable and confirm adequate resources, including associates, are available.

Process Improvement You will review and develop procedures to ensure continuous improvement including the maintenance of a positive and proactive relationship with key areas such as Purchasing, Sales/Marketing.

Compliance Safety is top priority! You will provide leadership in the area of health and safety, ensure a clean and safe work environment and mandate compliance of the ESA and OHSA. You will be responsible for the lock-up of all Umbra sites at the end of the shift.

Experience: You possess 4-7 years’ experience of warehousing, production and shipping experience, with 2-5 years being in a supervisory capacity. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement, 5S, and Six Sigma would be an asset.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications is mandatory as well as a familiarity with on-line inventory management systems.

Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent in Logistics or Business. Health amp; Safety training and Standard First Aid amp; CPR Trained are an asset. Forklift Certification from a recognized training provider.
