We have a full-time opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our Accounting team.

As part of the Accounting team, you will work to streamline Account Receivable processes, identify improvement areas and implement an action plan.

In this role, you will:

  • Compile data for invoicing in high volume and complex business segment
  • Ensure the timely, efficient and accurate processing of all Accounts Receivable (A/R) transactions
  • Reconcile A/R and revenue report in a timely manner
  • Supervise A/R Clerk
  • Assist in complex problem resolution and propose solution to A/R-related problems
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers through formal and informal communications
  • Answer inquiries from sales department and external customer in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with Controller to automate and streamline A/R processes, identify improvement areas and implement action plan
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close to ensure compliance with IFRS and Corporate policies
  • Emphasize on adherence to credit policy and follow-up of aged A/R
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaison with external auditors
  • Perform special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Be involved with creating reports and work closely with the Development team

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Minimum of three to five-year experience in a high-volume dynamic A/R department
  • Minimum of two-year experience supervising A/R function
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience with interpreting contracts for invoicing details
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business analytical tools
  • Experience with making accounting processes as efficient as possible
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently while being able to take initiatives
  • Proficiency with ERP accounting systems
  • Exposure to multi-currency AR, VAT, GST and invoicing by entities under different geographic locations

Bonus points if you:

  • Are enrolled in a professional accounting program such as CPA
  • Have worked with Dynamic Great Plains accounting systems
  • Have knowledge of IFRS
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector

This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. Working from home is available during the Covid pandemic.
