Equipment Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

Our equipment coordinator's are the glue to our Calibration Labs. They are the front facing to our customers and the quarterbacks to our technician's. Here are some of the duties that are expected out of our Equipment Coordinators:

Receiving Orders

  • Entering RMA’s
  • Physically receiving orders
  • Taking photos of customer equipment
  • Labelling and acetizing customer equipment
  • Barcoding equipment
  • Entering items into MET/TEAM
  • Maintaining uniformed descriptions and models in MET/TEAM
  • Updating RMA Tasks in Microsoft Teams/Planner
  • Perform technician duties on MET/CAL if needed

Technician Work

  • Perform technician duties on MET/CAL if needed

Maintain Pipeline

  • Checking the status of in-calibration orders Monitoring process
  • Organizing equipment on shelves
  • Integrity Check Verifying the online queue vs orders on the shelf (weekly)
  • Communicate with technicians, supervisors, and the CSR team when necessary

Quality Control

  • Check that the serial numbers, asset numbers and dates are correct on the customer unit and certificate - Verify paperwork against physical assets
  • Ensure customer requests were performed
  • Ensure equipment is presentable (clean) and contains all the accessories it was received with

Shipping

  • Packing and preparing items for customer pick-up’s
  • Contacting customers when necessary
  • Packing and preparing items to be shipped out
  • Contacting shipping company to get items out of the door
  • Ensuring items posted are shipped same day or on customer pick up shelf
  • Customer communication when items are ready for pick up

Rentals

  • Rental order picking
  • Rental returns (process to come)
  • Rental equipment shipping/receiving/pickups
  • Moving rental equipment through lab for maintenance
  • Ordering parts and supplies for lab. Helping keep track of inventory, working with Laura to receive
  • Answering phones
  • Helping with walk in customers
  • Working with the Lab Supervisor ensuring the proper amount of shipping materials needed

Other Duties

  • Providing end of day emails detailing work completed to Supervisor and Calibration Lab Leader

Requirements

  • A practical knowledge of electronics/mechanics, mathematics and test equipment are considered minimum requirements.
  • Organized, independent, self motivated, forward thinker with the ability to solve problems
  • Must be proficient in learning and using various types of computer software
  • Must be organized, able to work under deadline-driven stress and manage competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) would be an asset
  • Be able to work in a lab environment
  • Good at multi-tasking and driven to learn more
  • Have a valid driver’s license
