Real Estate Manager
Reports to: Senior Real Estate Manager
Location: Greater Toronto Area
We are looking for a Real Estate Manager who enjoys working in a small team and who is passionate about expanding the real estate portfolio of a successful franchise business.
Responsibilities includes:
- Managing the Eastern Canada real estate portfolio
- Initiating, managing and finalizing lease renewals, options and relocations; secure lease tenure
- Negotiating terms of all leasing documents to meet COBS Bread standards and in accordance with required timelines
- Assisting with locating, negotiating and finalizing leases for new locations
- Communicating with the Franchise Recruitment Team on real estate opportunities to prospective franchisees
- Supporting the Projects Team to help ensure construction of new sites and renovations are on-time and on-budget
- Providing lease management advice to COBS Bread franchise network with confidence and professionalism
- Developing relationships with COBS Bread broker and landlords
- Liaising effectively with corporate team members, franchisees, and landlords
Requirements
What you bring to the table
- 3-5 years of proven experience in lease negotiation and property management
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
- Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with franchisees or franchise environment is an asset
- Strong knowledge and understanding of lease legislation and retail leases
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
- Proven track record in managing complex situations and various stakeholders to reach desired outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and quick to build strong relationships
- Strong sense of urgency and driven by a fast-pace environment
- Self-motivated, ability to work well autonomously and amongst a close-knit team
- Able to travel within specified region, and possess a valid provincial driver's licence
