Skills and Qualifications:

Team Leadership Experience, Weld Certified SMAW. Production Experience, Leadership Skills, Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills, Motivational Skills, Results-Oriented, Teammate Training Experience, Self-Motivation, Strong Relationship Building

Primary Duties:

• Supports Production Supervisors and performs some supervisor duties when required
• Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
• Communicates deadlines and goals to team members
• Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to Division Safety and performance goals
• Conducts team meetings/toolbox talks to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
• Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines
• Works together with team leaders from other shifts and areas to ensure all information is relayed appropriately and effectively to ensure all guidelines and shift are filled and met

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Must have basic math skills to calculate measurements
• Prior experience in the steel industry is considered an asset
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
