The Position amp; Responsibilities
- Leading the decisions on ideas and approaches for solving our clients problems
- Quickly learn and adjust communication to match the domains of business that our clients are innovating in
- Participate in shaping and improving our development processes
- Coach and mentor developers to write better code and get better at their craft
- Guide the technical design and implementation strategy of software in new domains of business that our clients are innovating in
- Write and lead the team to write clean code that is maintainable and extendable
Our stack (varies on a per project basis):
- Ruby/Rails: Web app or as API (REST / GraphQL)
- JS: React / mobx-state-tree / apollo
- Mobile: react-native
Requirements
- Strong communication skills are a must. Both technical communication, as well as an ability to communicate technical things to non-developers (such as clients)
- Commitment to a culture of learning
- Commitment to quality and service for people you work with
- Experience in managing launching software features and products
- Experience in coaching and mentoring development talent
- Proven history working with and developing APIs
- Familiarity with Cloud Services
- Experience in database design and SQL
- Proficiency in web development frameworks
