We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist I to provide an exemplary level of participation in a company wide major IT project, to deploy JumpCloud to both local and remote end users in an efficient and accurate manner. Key responsibilities include organizing teams according to direction, connecting with each member of the company to explain and remotely deploy the tool, providing timely and effective technical support to end-users to make the migration seamless, and updating documents.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and collaborate with the team on planning phase
  • Communicate technical information to nontechnical users
  • Connect with each member of the company to setup users on the new platform
  • Plan and work with the user remotely install and connect clients on the laptops
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to the end-users to make the migration seamless
  • Confirms users are fully setup and update documents accordingly
  • Assist with onboarding of new users and setup and configure new accounts
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software
  • Assist with remote tasks and requests in our remote locations
  • Manage asset tracking databases for equipment by deploying a secondary package
  • Attend and/or conduct training sessions for end users
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Always maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness
  • Generally available Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm for remote/on-site support as needed.

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in Information Technology or other related field, or 1 year of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and all peripherals including audio/video devices
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Apple OSx
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and G-Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative and team-based environment
  • Passionate, flexible, and motivated to help others is key
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and must be open and adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work independently and understand when to escalate issues
  • Ability to train users
