The Opportunity:

We are looking for a VP, Financial Planning amp; Analysis to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the SVP, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer the VP, Financial Planning amp; Analysis is responsible for leading and supporting the decision making around financial planning and analysis across all Business Units and Support Services at Aviso.

What your day looks like:

  • Lead the planning and analysis processes which include a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers as well as the development of financial models that enable the delivery of insightful and value-added analysis across the organization and to the board.
  • Accountable for the delivery of decision support services to facilitate strategic planning, business case development, and pricing decisions considering key business metrics, drivers and parameters that impact future profit and revenue growth
  • Partnering with business lines and shared service leaders to deliver fact-based recommendations that support revenue growth targets and improve profitability, operating efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Partner with the Finance amp; Treasury team to ensure the financial results reporting is structured to drive meaningful insights
  • Set positive leadership tone through gaining respect of staff, peers and stakeholders
  • Ensure FPamp;A team members receive timely and appropriate training and development
  • Lead and mentor a team of high-performing professionals on the delivery of value-added service, making sound recommendations, influencing decision making, and building key relationships
  • Working across finance to ensure accounting processes are set-up to facilitate the integrity and accessibility of accounting data for analysis purposes
  • Lead all aspects of the annual financial budget, quarterly forecasts, and the long-range financial plans
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, planning, and modeling tools and processes
  • Ongoing development and implementation of policies and programs

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • University degree in finance and MBA preferred and/or
  • Professional designation (CPA)
  • 15+ years of experience within the financial services/wealth management industry in progressively senior leadership roles with emphasis on Financial Planning amp; Analysis
  • Senior management experience including Board of Director and C-level interaction
  • Strong people leadership and talent management skills, including attracting and hiring talent, engagement with staff and a focus on individual and team development
