As an Associate Technical Writer (Co-op), you will write, edit, and update end-user and system documentation for multiple features within our product as well as produce release notes to document user experience changes, new products or features, and issues resolved in each release of the software.
You will work closely with Fiix’s Software Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, Product Marketing, and the UX team throughout the development process to ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Your inquisitive nature will allow you to produce clear, effective communications for a variety of internal and external audiences.What you will do:- Update and maintain documentation (i.e., user and developer guides, product FAQs, tutorials, how-to articles) that:
- Communicates product updates to customers clearly amp; concisely
- Helps users learn how to use our products quickly amp; effectively
- Coordinate gathering in-product content for translation, on a regular cadence; track and manage translations
- Under the guidance and supervision of a senior member of our team, produce quality documentation, UI copy, and additional resources that meet applicable standards and are appropriate for the intended audience
- Work collaboratively with Product teams (Engineering, Product Management, UX, and Scrum) and Customer Support teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of product capabilities, our users’ needs amp; challenges, and documentation requirements

- Demonstrable ability to produce clear, concise technical content
- Effective and strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Natural ability to find the best, shortest way to clearly communicate an idea
- Detail oriented, motivated, and organized
- Analytical, methodical, curious, and creative thinker who is committed to producing high-quality work
Nice to have (but not a requirement!): - Reading / writing proficiency in a second language (in addition to English)
- Experience using single-sourcing authoring software (for example, Paligo, MadCap Flare, etc.)
- Familiarity with using video-editing software
Education Requirements: - Currently enrolled in a co-op program for a degree or diploma in English, Technical Writing, Communications or a related field
