Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic Demand Planner with a growth mindset and has a ‘can do’ attitude. The successful candidate will work to improve the accuracy and reliability of the demand plan through projection of the most realistic estimate of customer demand within the Monthly Business Planning framework. This individual will apply analytical techniques, to develop tactical and operational consensus demand forecasts. The individual will operate with Integrity and respect adding value with a customer centric mindset delivering on time in full.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage forecasting amp; demand planning for assigned market segments at an item/warehouse level.
  • Responsible for the monthly demand plans over an 18-24 month rolling horizon.
  • Leads the monthly Business Review / Sales Input meetings with Sales. Presents forecast roll-ups including assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor demand and analyze forecast exceptions; root cause to identify errors and take necessary corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias performance.
  • Responsible for creating demand plans for Long Term Capacity Planning (LTCP) and annual budget for the market segment assigned
  • Partner with sales and innovation to develop new product initiative forecasts
  • Tracks and analyzes KPIs (key performance indicators). Implements and recommends actions to improve best practices across team.
  • Maintain existing Demand planning software by choosing the right parameters.
  • Capture and translate business needs into business cases and requirements for interaction with process and/or technology providers.
  • Develop and maintain an unconstrained demand plan, while capturing and analyzing key inputs from Generating Demand Events.
  • Partner with Supply Planning team to drive the monthly Demand Supply Review (DSR)
  • Drive fast and appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan.
  • Establish strong relationships with peers and work cross-functionally with supply planning, procurement / purchasing, customer service, deployment, marketing, and finance teams.

Requirements


Qualifications

  • University degree or College diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, statistics, mathematics, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Demand Planning
  • Strong understanding of MRP concepts and processes
  • Results focused with a strong service orientation, and strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal negotiation skills and team player.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of demand forecasting/statistical modeling techniques and inputs
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • APICs certification a plus.
