We have a full-time opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team.

You will be responsible for the strategy, planning, production, and distribution of content across all of PressReader’s social channels LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Collaboration is key and you will work closely with the Director of Marketing and other members of the marketing team, including those responsible for PR, digital marketing, and product marketing, as well as the Creative Lab our team of designers and multimedia specialists.

In this role, you will:

  • Introduce and implement strategies to drive PressReader’s brand awareness and promote corporate culture across all social media platforms
  • Develop a content editorial calendar to manage content posts and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
  • Build and manage the content calendar to ensure assets are created on time and optimized for specific channels
  • Collaborate with PressReader’s Creative Lab to create and produce content for all social media platforms
  • Work with the knowledge of marketing automation systems (e.g. HubSpot, MailChimp, Unbounce), CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics), and Project Management tools (e.g. Monday)
  • Track channel success against department KPI’s, providing rationale and recommendations as needed
  • Report success and learnings on a monthly basis and prepare data for quarterly reports
  • Provide trend, research and forecasting, as well as competitive insights for channels
  • Need experience with paid social media advertising and content promotion

You are a great fit if you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Social Media Marketing management
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business or a related field
  • An excellent knowledge of all major Social Media networks: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media best practices
  • Worked both independently and collaboratively with other teams and departments companywide
  • A very creative, authentic, and analytical tech-marketing mindset
  • A strong written and oral communication skills
  • A highly organized and efficiency-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail and can also see the big picture
  • A passionate and enthusiastic attitude toward reaching goals
  • Always maintained a positive, can-do attitude and a sense of humor

Bonus points if you:

  • Believe in the value of journalism and are an avid consumer of news media
  • Have a second language (preferably French or Spanish)
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector

This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. Working from home is available during the Covid pandemic.
