As a contract technical recruiter, you will make a big impact by sourcing top talent to join our world-class team of product builders. You will utilize your strong recruiting skills and network of Engineers and other practitioners to seek out and find the best talent for each role and team. You will champion our ‘how we hire’ value, with a focus on identifying people who, like you, are smart, kind, reliable, and excited to teach and learn.
Responsibilities:- Identify, engage and secure top talent using both traditional and creative sourcing strategies and research methods to suit each specific requisition across Engineering, Product, Design, and other departments as needed
- Open new doors for Connected, making unique top talent available and educating them about us
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and candidates, providing a seamless, positive experience to both
- Foster an inclusive recruiting process and partner on Damp;I recruiting initiatives
- Champion our culture, brand and candidate experience
- Work closely with the Talent team to achieve our talent acquisition strategy and KPIs
- Represent Connected in the community and online as one of the best places to work and winner of Canada's Top Small amp; Medium Employers and one of LinkedIn’s Top Startups
- Deliver innovative and effective strategies for sourcing passive candidates
- 3+ years experience in a full-cycle technical recruiting role in an agency or corporate setting, ideally within a high-growth tech environment
- You are a true search expert with a passion for sourcing top talent in a competitive market
- Experience working with engineering teams and hiring for technical roles, including but not limited to Full Stack, Backend, Frontend, Mobile and more
- Additional experience working with Design and Product focused roles
- Demonstrated experience using creative research and sourcing methods to hire for niche and hard to fill roles
- Experience building diverse talent pipelines and supporting inclusive practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build authentic relationships quickly
- Attention to detail with excellent analytical and time management skills
- Track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, and integrity
- Exceptional closing and negotiation skills
