Support the Product Owner to drive the product vision and strategy for our growing portfolio of international money transfer products . As advocates for both our users and our business, the role balances varied perspectives and guide multidisciplinary agile teams towards the common goal of shipping high-quality products and features that deliver the organisational strategy. This role is responsible for the value that the team delivers across the full product lifecycle from opportunity evaluation and discovery, to implementation and post-launch optimization. It works closely with all stakeholders to ensure customer and organisational product goals are achieved.
What you'll do:
- Attend daily SCRUM stand-up meetings and provide input on the design of the API product
- Serve as the bridge between the business team who create the API requirements, and the back-end development team who understand the back-end systems and data sources
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
- Contribute towards creation of API documentation for the developers who consume the API (API Security Guide, API Developer Guide, etc)
- Review API design with Product Manager and API engineering team then make adjustments as-needed
- The API Technical Product Analyst is responsible for attending daily stand-ups and translating business requirements in the form of user-stories, into API specifications using the Swagger framework. Once the swagger file has been created, the API Technical Product Analyst will write test cases and then test the API the engineering team has completed development. Additionally, the API Technical Product Analyst will create API documentation for the developers who consume the API.
Requirements
- Demonstrated successful product analyst and backlog management experience
- Experience writing stories for software development (for both front-end UI and for API integrations) in consumer facing products
- Self-starter who works collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple business and technology functions
- Able to adapt to new technologies and complex business and technical environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Data driven and able to cut through complexity and ambiguity to identify concise requirements and write clear stories, and design simple solutions
- Excellent time management skills
- Inquisitive and a critical thinker
- A solid math and statistics background
- You have lots of apps on your phone and you can distinguish what’s a good user experience
- Curious, especially about what drives people to behave a certain way and what goes into their decision making process Able to articulate the why behind your decisions clearly to the team and other stakeholders
- Experience with user testing of software products/prototypes
