The Technical Product Lead is responsible to drive initiatives in technology investments to build strategic technical capabilities that support ATB’s Product strategies. Day-to-day, the role includes running agile development squad(s) with a strong focus on delivering horizontal technical capabilities that bring a vision of AI capabilities to life.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support product vision and strategy to create and manage the technical product roadmap
  2. Provide cross-functional leadership to enable an environment of trust and accountability so that teams can deliver value
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders to align to their business priorities and deliver to the Product Vision. Evangelize proposed solutions, gain insight, feedback and buy-in
  4. Understand and translate technical requirements to communicate value
  5. Responsible for the delivery of tangible value - working the delivery team and a network of technical partners to reduce barriers and enable momentum
  6. Monitoring and analysis of outcomes to ensure value creation across the lifecycle of a technical capability

  • Absorbs and understands the product vision, strategy and user story map(s) and where the capability adds value
  • Ability to define and prioritize initiatives while working cross-functionally, and managing complex stakeholder relationships

  • Invest quality time with users directly or indirectly to empathize, translate, document, evaluate, and synthesize their needs into product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications

Implement

  • Acts as the primary business amp; customer representative for squads, and translates their needs into a set of functional requirements that the Squad implements
  • Empowered by the business and technical partners to make critical product decisions by zooming in and out to define and communicate the Product Vision from overall value down to functional product requirements
  • Leads the discovery and design to define sprint goals, user stories and acceptance criteria with direction from Product Roadmap
  • Feature/functionality, backlog prioritization, and release planning including the management of risks
  • Understand the value of ATB’s technical landscape and maturity to stay abreast of emerging development and technical trends

Analyze amp; Iterative Improvements

  • Makes product decisions based on outcomes for the customer and business; measures the outcomes delivered and articulates the value based on those outcomes
  • Establish performance benchmarks and usage metrics for our digital offerings and manage Key Performance Indicators to achieve desired results and growth. Prepare appropriate analysis of all data relevant to the products and services including initiative cost, benefit potential and value generated.

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related disciplines or an acceptable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Working knowledge of Design Thinking, Lean Methodology and Agile is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Product Management best practices and frameworks.
  • The ability to communicate complex information and concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with senior leadership and executives.
  • An understanding of the application and value of Artificial Intelligence technical domains and the associated maturity.
  • A strong technical product manager track record with demonstrated success in delivering results.
  • The ability to communicate complex information and concepts to a variety of audiences to support decision making.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills; detail oriented with strong process oriented analytical skills.
  • Experience in business transformation and operational change management.
