What you will do

We’re looking for a WordPress CMS Developer (2 Month Contract) to help us develop and migrate to a responsive website. This role is expected to bring an eye for design, along with practical web development abilities. You will work closely with our Senior Marketing Manager, Senior Communications Designer, and other internal stakeholders to bring life to our brand, product information, and other website content, via the code you write.

Expected launch: May 31, 2021

You can expect to:

  • Install and setup WordPress CMS
  • Set up the website structure with support from the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Communications Designer
  • Develop page templates using website wireframes for desktop and mobile
  • Customize iframe forms
  • Transfer and review Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Google My Business configuration
  • Transfer and review tracking for marketing automation platform Salesforce Pardot
  • Setup and install styling of plugins for SEO and more
  • Create 301 redirects for old URLs
  • Implement optimizations to improve page speed, including:
    • Image compression
    • Script compression
    • Largest contentful paint
    • First input delay
    • Cumulative layout shift
  • Test the responsiveness of the website on desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Train the Bridgit marketing team on the use of WordPress

Requirements

  • Proven track record of designing and developing WordPress websites
  • Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
  • 3+ years of experience with responsive website design and development
  • Bonus: Experience using Squarespace
