Summary
We are seeking to hire for a newly created role of Ecommerce Lead. We are looking for an experienced ecommerce professional who can provide consulting, strategy and ecommerce execution for our clients. The position will help clients define, build and improve their ecommerce presence.
The position would work to define and execute our ecommerce offering in collaboration with the digital, development, account and creative teams. This would include working with development and design teams to build new ecommerce websites for our clients, working on ecommerce advertising and marketing plans, managing optimization and user experience for existing ecommerce sites, and advising clients on end-to-end ecommerce management.
The successful candidate will help build and sell our ecommerce offering. They will be heavily involved in defining our service offering, identifying target accounts, and building marketing and sales materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with account, creative, digital marketing and website development teams to ensure successful ecommerce solutions.
- Work with current and prospective clients to build new online stores.
- Assist in development of ecommerce strategies for our clients. Including: acquisition campaigns, remarketing campaigns, email automation, user experience optimization, SEO, pricing, and fulfillment.
- Track, experiment, and optimize checkout and conversion processes to ensure highest rate of successful purchases.
- Review analytics and recommend experiments based on analysis.
Requirements
COMPETENCIES
We are seeking someone with at least 3 years of experience in building and managing ecommerce stores. The candidate should be well versed in conversion rate optimization, user experience, digital advertising, email automation, and ecommerce platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in commerce, business administration or marketing(an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Direct experience in building and managing an online ecommerce store or platform is required.
- Experience running paid digital advertising campaigns and an understanding of popular programmatic and social advertising is an asset.
- B2B ecommerce experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Experience with Shopify, Magento, or other ecommerce platforms.
- Experience selling on Amazon, eBay or other popular marketplaces is an asset.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills.
