About this roleWe’re looking for a bilingual Content Localization Specialist to join our Product Content team and champion the product experience for our French-speaking clients. The Product Content team is at the heart of all our projects, crafting narratives that make Wealthsimple's products accessible and human. You’ll work with passionate interdisciplinary teams including Product Managers, Designers, UX Researchers and and Engineering to collaborate on all phases of Wealthsimple's user experience from idea to shipped In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Own our French product localization from translation to strategy
  • Ensure consistency in our brand and tone across our French product experiences
  • Engage with and advise Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to help us create product experiences that include local considerations from the start
  • Bring clarity and humanity to confusing and intimidating financial language
  • Create best-in-class user experiences through content (including: product copy that seamlessly guides users through the product, transactional email writing that feels intelligent, approachable and human, and notices, updates and alerts that express urgency without feeling scary)
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is fluent in both Canadian French and English
  • Has professional experience leading translation and localization
  • Works quickly and decisively across multiple contexts
  • Is a great collaborator and listener and loves to work with others to understand and solve peoples' problems
  • Is passionate about user experience and can participate in critique and creative brainstorming sessions
  • Thinks personal finance and investing are interesting, and are excited to make them accessible to others
  • Values open communication and working on an exceptionally transparent team
  • Brings solid understanding of functional writing for product copy, websites, and email
