Reporting to Manager Demand Planning, the Supply Chain Analyst, Demand Planning will be responsible for determining the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. They will develop projections for sku base demand, the gather and analyze relevant information and use statistical data to perform applicable calculations. The role works closely with material planners, sourcing, production and other departments within the Goodfood business. They ensure those departments are informed of their demand projections so that enough healthily and delicious products can be made and shipped nationally across Canada. They also help develop strategies for eliminating inventory that has been discontinued.
What you will be responsible for:
- Collect, analyse and present data required for an ongoing decision making within supply chain function.
- Create forecasts by collecting and analyzing data using various forecast techniques (statistical and trend analysis).
- Error analysis (forecast accuracy) to improve forecasts amp; demand models as well as inventory data.
- Support various areas of supply chain function to ensure timely availability and accuracy of data used for decision making within various areas of the supply chain team.
- Work with materials planning through data analysis and troubleshooting to highlight opportunities for effective inventory management
- Support supply chain team with forecast data to suppliers and contract manufacturers for proper planning of raw materials and finished goods.
- Support sourcing team in performing periodic supplier performance evaluation through Supplier Scorecard (includes co-manufacturer and any other 3rd party service provider)
- Support sourcing team in performing spend analysis by category / item / supplier to better evaluate supplier base
- Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain planning accuracy requirements.
- Strong understanding of KPI such as MAPE, OTIF, inventory level amp; write offs, turn time, amp; scorecard data to suppliers, 3PL and contract manufacturers
Things we want you to have:
- 1-2 years’ experience as a supply chain or operations analyst, preferably in the food, grocery or manufacturing industry.
- Experience in a highly agile or just-in-time (JIT) working environment supporting multiple internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of material planning requirements processes (MRP)
- Strong user of ERP systems such as MS Dynamics, SAP or equivalent and advanced Excel skills to manipulate our data to detect trends, forecast needs and identify risks.
- Bilingualism English and French (an asset).
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or other equivalent major (an asset).
