Job Description

Position Summary:

This position will join a highly motivated and cohesive group of professionals and work closely with the finance team and other members of the organization daily. This role will benefit from someone who is a natural collaborator and keen to take ownership of their work.

The main areas of responsibility are:

  • Accounts Receivable and Collections Management (40%)
  • Inventory Management and Standard Costing (30%)
  • Balance Sheet Management and Capital Asset Tracking (20%)
  • Bank Transaction Recording and Bank Reconciliations (10%)

This role is full-time, permanent.

Specific Duties:

Inventory Management

  • Performs monthly inventory reconciliations and organizes annual inventory counts for Delta-Q’s global distribution network.
  • Enters standard costing to current schedules in the inventory module.
  • Prepares and supports the analysis of monthly slow-moving product inventory reports.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Prepares weekly accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Manages the reduction of customer days sales outstanding (DSOs).
  • Investigates billing discrepancies and variances.
  • Reviews customer invoices prior to release.
  • Supports credit management for customer accounts.
  • Processes credit notes as needed.

Balance Sheet Management

  • Manages the capital assets schedule including asset tracking.
  • Records monthly depreciation entries.
  • Reviews and reconciles AR, AP and prepaid expense accounts.
  • Enters all bank transactions and performs bank reconciliations.
  • Assists in gathering information and queries during audit fieldwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Relevant education in finance, business, accounting, or commerce and coupled with 2 or more years of experience, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience with accounts receivable and inventory management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including functions such as v-lookup, SUMIF and other applicable formulas.
  • Previous experience solving variances, discrepancies and other accounting related issues.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Prior experience with Sage 100 is an asset.
