PTW Canada is seeking a Mastering Technician to join our Montreal Studio. This is a temporary contract.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and keep track of the inventory of hardware devices (consoles, phones, computers and accessories)
- Keeping mobile devices list updated ensuring specific hardware isn’t updated for compatibility testing service line
- Planning, researching and purchasing hardware based on project needs
- Coordinating the shipping and transfer of hardware between locations
- Forecast inventory requirements and raise PRF when needed
- Integrate with the Operations Management team by reviewing, planning documents, attending meetings and requesting updates on projects. Use the information to prepare the test floor to ensure that all necessary hardware is in place for the first day of testing on each project. Consider all project related issues such as the seating of the Lead(s), build deployment, team cohesion and platform splits on projects. Update as required when team sizes change. This includes deploying builds before projects and doing basic smoke tests
- Add the Client FTP details to the FTP and download builds
- Convert the build file format to the required format
- Copy the build to the consoles, PC and/ or disc
- Communicate with the client via mail if required
- Adhere to security policy
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- Ability to work independently and take charge
- Solid know-how on gaming consoles and PCs
- Extremely well versed with mobile phones and OS
- Experienced with Excel
- Knowledgeable about the games QA industry
- Should have technical knowledge in IT/ System essentials
- Good at troubleshooting PC and to an extent console
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Should be flexible with shift requirement
- Should be enthusiastic, proficient and proactive
- Would be considered an asset if familiar with the following software : PS Neighborhood, Xbox Manager, Nintendo DEV and Aspera

Ce que vous allez faire
- Gérer et suivre l'inventaire des périphériques matériels (consoles, téléphones, ordinateurs et accessoires)
- Tenir à jour la liste des appareils mobiles en veillant à ce que le matériel spécifique ne soit pas mis à jour pour la gamme de services de test de compatibilité
- Planifier, rechercher et acheter du matériel en fonction des besoins du projet
- Coordonner l'expédition et le transfert du matériel entre les sites
- Prévoir les besoins d'inventaire et augmenter le PRF si nécessaire
- S'intégrer à l'équipe de gestion des opérations en examinant les documents de planification, en participant aux réunions et en demandant des mises à jour sur les projets. Utiliser ces informations pour préparer le terrain de test afin de vous assurer que tout le matériel nécessaire est en place pour le premier jour de test de chaque projet. Tenir compte de tous les problèmes liés au projet, tels que l'assise du ou des chefs de file, le déploiement de la construction, la cohésion de l'équipe et les divisions de la plate-forme sur les projets. Mettre à jour si nécessaire lorsque la taille des équipes change, incluant le déploiement de builds avant les projets et la réalisation de tests de fumée de base.
